E+ZERO Project: NovaKamp Designs the Sustainable Military Camps of Tomorrow

2 April 2026

Designing the military camps of the future: more sustainable, smarter, and rapidly deployable. That is the goal of the European E+ZERO project, led by the European Defense Agency and bringing together 10 partners from 7 countries. NovaKamp, along with its subsidiary Kamp Alliance, plays a key role in the project by contributing its military and technical expertise gained in the field to the development of concrete, operational solutions.

Rethinking Deployable Infrastructure with Innovative Energy Solutions

L’objectif du projet : repenser les infrastructures déployables pour répondre aux exigences des forces armées, tout en intégrant des solutions énergétiques innovantes et durables. Au cœur du programme :

  • Development of modular and interoperable structures
  • Identification and integration of high-performance technologies
  • Optimization of energy production integrated into the facilities (solar, heat pumps, thermal storage, waste heat recovery)
  • Technical optimization (compact design and efficient disassembly)

A two-phase approach

The first phase involves analyzing, selecting, and recommending the most relevant technologies from the E+ZERO project to military camp architects. The next steps will involve testing, integrating, and validating these solutions under realistic conditions.

An active contribution to European cooperation

As a committed partner, NovaKamp actively contributes to this momentum by combining operational vision and technical expertise—both of which are essential for designing the camps of the future. This is a concrete example of the group’s contribution to European cooperation in support of innovation and the energy transition in the defense sector.
