On November 27 and 28, the Ethiopian capital hosted a groundbreaking seminar, organized at the request of 13 African Chiefs of Staff of the Army (CEMAT). Convened at the initiative of the French CEMAT, General Pierre Schill, in partnership with COGES and GICAT, this event aimed to showcase the capabilities of France’s Defense Industrial and Technological Base (BITD) and to lay the groundwork for an ambitious industrial collaboration between France and its African partners.
Discussions Focused on Sovereignty and Stability
The seminar’s central question – How can we strengthen state sovereignty: national security, border security, and assistance to populations?- served as the framework for two days of in-depth, solution-oriented discussions. NovaKamp actively participated, engaging in dialogue with its African counterparts on critical infrastructure: energy, water, telecommunications, and information systems. These areas lie at the heart of the group’s expertise and represent the operational solutions expected by partner states.
